Dinesh Mirok, MACP, RCC

I’m a Registered Clinical Counsellor working with adults, teens aged 13 and up, and immigrant communities in British Columbia.

Working together

We may start with a simple question, then give you time to think and speak. You don’t have to answer straight away or fill every pause. We can start with whatever feels easiest to share.

My background

I bring about a decade of experience working in mental health and supporting people through a range of challenges. This experience informs the care and understanding I bring to my counselling practice.

My background also includes training and work as a doctor in India, with an MBBS and a DNB in Health and Hospital Administration.

Alongside the concern that brings you here, we can talk about your relationships, culture and the circumstances of your life.

Languages and approach

I offer counselling in English, Hindi and Punjabi. We can speak about family expectations, identity and belonging in the language you feel comfortable using.

I draw on cognitive behavioural therapy, dialectical behaviour therapy skills, narrative therapy and emotion-focused therapy. We discuss what might be useful for you and check how the work is going.
